The revolving floor of the cabin gives a 360 degrees view as you go up to Table Mountain, a National Park which boasts the richest floral kingdom in the world with 1500 species of fynbos growing on the mountain alone. Many walking paths at the top give you access to the most spectacular views of the city.

Cape Point
[1 hr 45 min form Atlantic House] A nature reserve at the southernmost tip of the Cape Peninsula with Antelope, Eland, Zebra, Baboon and Dassie as well as a variety of plant species, historic shipwrecks, beaches and a lighthouse. The visitor centre and restaurant have dramatic views. On the return trip one can visit the historic naval town, Simons Town, with its own waterfront as well as Boulders Beach, home to a colony of African Penguins
Constantia Vineyards
[40 Min from Atlantic House] Buitenverwachting, Constantia Uitsig, Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Steenberg.
These are historic wine farms in Cape Town producing excellent and some award winning wines. Some have homesteads dating back to the 17th Century with ancient oak trees as well as picnic spots and some have top class restaurants. There is a wine museum on Groot Constantia, the oldest one built by Governor Simon van der Stel. Klein Constantia produces a copy of a fortified dessert wine favoured by Napoleon long ago.
Some wine tastings are free and cellar tours can be arranged.
